Coastal Scents & US Haul!

At last, my Coastal Scents package arrived, AND my makeup mule who I asked to smuggle makeup back from the US & UK has coughed up my merchandise! ; )

Want to know what I got?

1. Coastal Scents: Silica Powder (it's even cheaper than PureLuxe and I got a massive amount!)
2. Coastal Scents Sable Blender Brush supposed to be a dupe of my dying MAC 224 - it doesn't seem dense enough so I'm not convinced.
3. Sephora: Philosophy's Amazing Grace Perfumed Oil Roll-on (US$25) handy dandy version of my favourite fragrance, and a wee bit goes a long long way.
4. US Drugstore: Clean & Clear Soft In-Shower Facial (US$8.49) after hearing all the rave reviews on it, I had to try it out.
5. US Drugstore: Maybelline the Colossal Mascara (US$7.49) a dupe for the legendary Dior Show mascara? Only one way to find out!
6. UK Boots: Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 Hour Foundation in shade 200 Beige (£6). This isn't out here yet but after reading the incredibly positive reviews on MUA, I had to try it out.
7. Coastal Scents: Gel Liner in Grapevine it's supposed to dupe MAC Fluidline, we'll see. I also hear purple is the way to enhance a brown eye, but this purple looks rather light for a liner. However, the nice people at Coastal Scents also gave me a freebie gift of a "Natural Formula" eyeliner in Boysenberry which looks like JUST the dark shade of purple I want!
8. Clinique Superfit Foundation in shade 01 Shell (US$20) Ooh I can't wait to try this one out. Tine's review had me champing at the bit!

Note: When I was writing this, Coastal Scents site was down. I will update with links and prices when it's up and running again.

Hey Nikki, I don't think I'll be doing a review for the Coastal Scents Silica powder as it's the same stuff as the PureLuxe powder. I think PureLuxe may have been slightly more finely milled but to be honest it's so hard to tell. They're ALL so fine that if you sneeze it goes POOF. The Coastal Scents powder also doesn't sting my nose as much as the Pure Luxe one - i'm guessing it's because it IS less finely milled. Which is a-ok by me. I've also added two scoops of Buttery Gold from SN to a 20g jar of silica powder, so it looks less white-porcelaine doll when dusted over. Me likey. =D

cool haul! Eeps! I wanna try the silica powder. I never realised that CS had it cuz I'm always so caught up with the brushes :-/

Thanks for reminding me that I ought to check out the rimmel foundation!

I have the CS sable blending brush. It's great for light blending just to soften lines eg. for rainbow eyes but I don't use it for the crease. I usually use the CS tapered crease brush.
