Using a paint brush as an eyeliner brush
I was prowling around Cziplee+ and came across some high-quality paint brushes. As I was looking for a good eyeliner brush I decided to give this one a try. It only cost RM8.50 but the handle is so ridiculously long I had to use a pair of garden shears to chop off a length (just after the words).
It's actually made a pretty good eyeliner brush only, and I never though I'd say this, it's too fine! It's firm enough, holds its shape beautifully and applies eyeliner evenly but as it's so fine it can be rather pointy. A slightly longer (not fatter) rounded tip would make this perfect. I'm going to go back and look for it. Whee!
Do you use art brushes to apply makeup?

LOL i use eyeliner brush for nail art! :P totally opposite from u
*high 5* i do! same like you, i find the handle toooo long that it's annoying when i get too close to the mirror. i find the tip too long as well, thinking of snipping it off...
Aiyoh... this was meant to come out TOMORROW. I'm an idjit. >_<
Ah well... if got time I'll put up something new tomorrow then. =P
Xin: Isn't that expensive?
EeVon: *high 5's back!* Snip away. =P
I wouldn't mind using paint brushes, but there's no paint brushes down here that works nice as makeup brush!
i'm not sure if anyone else does this but i actually use a cotton bud from time to time - and it does work pretty well (especially if you are going for the smudged effect - not to mention it's easier to control than a brush). also, no cleaning of brush afterwards! only thing is, the cotton bud seems to take up more product than a brush so maybe there's some wastage there. also, i feel like i'm killing the environment whenever i use anything disposable, so that's that.
I do use art brushes for my cake liners. they're made out of nylon I think. real cheap. not more than RM2.
Nikki: Have you tried really high-end art supply shops?
the-stars-say: I use cotton buds to smudge out harsh lines. can't say I use them as applicators! I may in a pinch now thanks to your tip. =)
connie: Where'd you get them? Which ones? Have you done a post on them?
