Love it! - Sleek MakeUP Lash Out Mascara

I was deadly afraid to try this one. Western mascaras tend to smudge wildly on me and I hate that.

But Sleek MakeUP had sent this to us ages ago for review and I was feeling guilty. So I gingerly tested this out on a weekend when nothing special was going on and I could wash it off at anytime.

One coat and... Ooh!

Two coats and I ran out to grab the boyfriend squealing, "Lookee my eye! Lookee my eye!"

After he acknowledged the difference with great patience and suppressed amusement, I grabbed my phone and snapped this:

Cool, aye?

Review: Sleek MakeUP Blush By 3 in Sugar

I think it's been a while since I've reviewed a blush. Guess I'm going back into my element. *grin*

And interestingly, as if to make up for lost time, I'll be reviewing not one, but THREE blushes. Ladies, meet Sleek MakeUP's Blush by 3 in Sugar.

Review: A palette that's Oh So Special!

It seems to me that everytime I feel the need to review something with a bit of colour in it, Sleek MakeUP eyeshadow palettes are the first thing that cross my mind. And for pretty good reason too.

Of the many wonderful things Sleek MakeUP has to offer, the thing that really gets to me are their palettes. And today, we'll be looking at their Oh So Special palette.

Sleek Pout Paint in Pin Up vs OCC Lip Tar in NSFW

So, it's the question everyone wants to know, how does Pout Paint measure up to OCC Lip Tars?

Actually to be honest I have no idea how OCC is going to keep justifying their hefty GBP9 price tag when Sleek Pout Paints are selling the same quantity at half the price.

In a nutshell, Pout Paints are thicker and dryer than Lip Tars, making them harder to spread and so harder to mix and work with. So Lip Tars are slightly better formulated.

Lip Tars are also minty which I prefer to Sleek's redoxen flavoured tubes. However, not everyone likes mint and some girls find it irritating.

Finally, Pout Paints outlast lip tars. I slicked on Pin Up for housework, lunch, grocery shopping and although it came off on everything, its colour just appeared undiminished.

Playing with Sleek Makeup's Pout Paints

We were lucky enough to receive several tubes of Sleek Makeup's Pout Paints to play with from the lovely people in London who promote this brand. And play is right, it's genuinely fun mixing and swatching these paint-like tubes.

This is more of a "first take" than a full review as swatching and removing these on my lips would leave them sore. Even on my arm I had to use a cleansing oil to get these off, so my guess is they wear a really really long time.

We were sent two colours, Pin Up (Red) and Peachy Keen (orange) and two mixers Peek-a-bloo (blue) and Cloud 9 (white). Interestingly the release said that the blue shade was to add depth and warmth. Read on for swatches!

The Sleek Storm palette is Divine. Truly.

It seems that we've been a little short on colour on this blog of late. But that'll be fixed today.

With the Sleek Storm i-Divine Palette. And I truly, truly think it IS divine. Oh yes, indeed.

Quick Peek: My Sleek Haul!

So my best friend, Mich, just got back from the UK (and she's making her way up Mount Kinabalu as you're reading this), and the sweet girl, bless her, hauled back some pretty Sleek stuff for me to try!

I have only just received them last night, so I really haven't had the chance to play with them yet. But click on for more photos!
