Video: Friday is for Failing to recreate Audrey Hepburn's fabulous look in Breakfast at Tiffany's

This is an incredibly well-done video on recreating Audrey Hepburn's look as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The scene where she rushes around getting ready for her meeting with Sally Tomato has always been a favourite of mine, and her classic timeless look is the stuff of legends.



After watching this video I was inspired to recreate the look (sans falsies) for work - and well, I umm. Failed. Boo. Pic after the jump!

Ignoring the fact that I do not look anything like the incomparable Audrey, I need a paler pink lippie, and going without falsies really does undermine the look. *sighs* Also more thick black liner is called for.

Still I'm not entirely displeased, as it allowed me to make use of my new NYX trio palette in Highlight/Brown/Suede - a palette so very neutral that I thought I'd have to use each shade singly to get any use out of it. Plus while I didn't don falsies, I'm quite impressed with the trick I used to get my lashes as long as they are here:
