Monday's Beauty Bits

Neutrogena wave is here, and I'll admit it's just a matter of time till I test it out. What's holding me back is the RM59 pricetag for the device and ~ RM30 pricetag for refills. What do you think of the price? Just save up and buy a Clarisonic?

Like OPI nail polishes? NailGalore blogshop is selling bottles for below retail price at RM37 a bottle of colour polish (RRP - RM50+). Tempting huh? (Note: I have never purchased from this shop and cannot vouch for the seller)

Speaking of blogshops, NYX Cosmetics, a Malaysian-based blogshop sells - guess what? Some products sold areEyeshadow bases for RM24, lipbalm pots at RM10 and Jumbo Eye Pencils at RM13.50.
(Note: I have never purchased from this shop and cannot vouch for the seller)

For a lovely inspirational read on looking young, head over to The Derm Blog for "The Secret to Looking Young". =)

Finally, a word of warning from bitter personal experience. Don't sniff bottles of shampoo too enthusiastically. You may end up snorting blue gunk...

ahh, good old shampoo sniffing aye!

few years back, i was at the supermarket with both my younger sisters and we were looking to try out some new herbal essences shampoos and conditioners. i picked up a blue bottle, hold it close to my nose, and *gently* pressed the bottle to smell it. then SPLUSHHH...i got blue gunk all over my nose and face.

what made it bad was both my sisters laughing so hard, people started staring at what was going on, and there i was trying to wipe endless gunk away.

good times..good times..

ROTFL!!! *Hysterical laughter*

Kahani, my couz has joined your company! LOL. The same thing happened to Kahani the other, and we were both laughing so hard... it was hilarious! =P

Good Lord Amy.. guess what? I was with Syen... and it was the SAME EVIL BLUE SHAMPOO by Herbal Essences! What are the odds?

Would suggest you to save the money for a Clarisonic instead. The Wave is just a gimmick. Bought it, tried it twice, and in the end, I gave it to the hubs :P

LOL. What are the odds indeed! Blue bottle shampoo is EVIL! Two cases across two different countries.

Anyways. I gave in to coconut scent and picked up the blue bottled conditioner. =P

Kelly: Thank you for your support and interest. Unfortunately I don't have the time or resources to do something like that. The best I can do is post links like the above to Monday's Beauty Bits as and when I come across them. Good luck!

Tine: will do! Have heard awesome things about the clarisonic. I can't remember if you've given that a go yet?

Syen: good to know my efforts were not in vain!

Clairols Hello Hydration? I haven't tried the shampoo but the condish works wonders as a light hair mask.

I just had a new bottle of conditioner squirt all over my face last week. Thank goodness I was at home.

LOL! the shampoo smelled that good huh?

I usually buy my NYX when they're 20% off on nonpareil boutique.. of course there's the matter of having it shipped over...

Such a great article from The Derm Blog right? I'm yet to do the walking and staying out from the sun thing... I guess i'll just get old

Eli that's the stuff! It seems we've uncovered a strange Blue Condi phenomenon... Clairol's Hello Hydration is prone to squirt.

Connie: It DOES smell nice, but it's also subtle, so you have to SNIIIIFFF...

I tried to drink TBS aromatherapy oil (yes, from the bottle) thinking it was Sprite.
