Review: Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk for Sensitive Skin

Still on the quest for the Perfect Sunscreen, I grabbed the Mild Milk SPF 25 lotion from the popular Sunplay Skin Aqua range to try.

Formulated for sensitive skin, I picked this up for 2 reasons: the first being because I had heard so much about Sunplay, I was curious to try it out; and the second being its affordability.
Weighing in at 80g for RM 24.90, this sunscreen has a light and milky texture. It sinks in quite easily and because the product is so light, I sometimes end up applying a lot more than needed.

I suggest using a moisturiser under this sunscreen as it isn't very moisturising, despite containing hyaluronic acid and collagen. On the bright side, it doesn't make me breakout although it does make me oil up a lot faster -- which sounds like an odd contradiction.

One huge plus point in Sunplay's Mild Milk favour is that the sunscreen is unscented and doesn't smell like sunscreen at all. Those with sensitive noses or who hate the scent of sunscreen would probably love using this.

I did try using this while travelling once and ended up 3 tones darker. Eek. Definitely to be used only on days when you don't have to head out under the scorching sun and sit in the office all day.

Verdict? This sunscreen gets a "meh" rating from me. It's decent for its price and if you don't do much outdoor activities. I need something a lot more heavy duty in my line of work though so I am afraid I won't be repurchasing.

It's a shame this sunscreen didn't work for you. I do like it and have been using it without any problems. Not sure about turning darker though because I don't really go out under direct sun for long.

I bought the small bottle the trial pack. I did not used moisturiser before applying the sunblock. My skin became oily after few hours and I started getting small white bumps. Ever since then I don't buy Sunplay sunblock anymore!

Lyn: I am glad to hear that it works for others! I am still using this on office days but only on my neck and arms.

Connie: Np, that's what fellow bloggers are for! I am still debating if I should give the rest of the Sunplay range another go.

Anon: Eeek, that's terrible. I think Kahani had a similar reaction to one of the Sunplay sunscreens before. I haven't had that happen to me before except for *cough* Ego *cough cough*
