My Favourite Things: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub

My goodness. What a name.

But what a scrub. Really.

I mean, it only took all of several weeks to get from a let's-give-it-a-try-product, to one of my favourite things. So what's so great about it? Read on to find out.

To begin with, it smells like cocoa butter, which I absolutely love. Yum! If you don't like cocoa butter, though, this might not be for you.

And then the product. Which is pretty much genius. I love cream cleansers, because of how they gently remove my daily makeup without much fuss. (I don't wear heavy makeup usually, so a cream cleanser is usually sufficient for makeup removal.) And I also love my scrubs, which helps brighten up my complexion by sloughing all that dead skin cells off.

If Miss Cleanser married Mr Scrub, I'd imagine this scrub would be their baby.

It's creamy and its micro-fine crushed cocoa beans are neither too rough (that they hurt the skin), nor too fine (that you hardly feel the exfoliating action). Massaged gently, the result is really clean, soft and smooth skin.

In terms of its scrubbing prowess, I'd place it between the Neutrogena Deep Clean scrub, and the St Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub. It's quite perfect, really.

Priced at about RM23 (on sale) for a 150g tube, I think it's a great scrub that won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Of late, I've found myself reaching for this rather frequently in my evening cleansing routine and I absolutely love it.

Have you tried it?

Haha... I tried the lotion and the cocoa butter smell put me off so thank goodness I won't miss this one because I can't use scrubd anymore.

I just want to let you know based on the last part of your post that you're using it quite frequently in the evening... I'm assuming you're using it more than a few times a week.... Easy, gal. Slow down LOL.... Don't use so many times. Twice a week max and not consecutively.... Unless the scrub is verrrry gentle, which this isn't. Or you might end up like me with sensitive, rosacea skin with broken capillaries. Okay... Maybe not that bad but just go easy! :-)

Annette: Aww.. sorry to hear that this range of products are not quite your thing. LOL.

Also, thanks for the warning, but don't worry. As much as I love this scrub, I'm only using it once every 2 or 3 days! I definitely agree with you that over-scrubbing can do more damage than good, and I sure don't want to run the risk of scrubbing my face off! =P

Where can I find this? Regular drugstores like Watsons/Guardians?
