The Body Shop: Tea Tree Oil & Mint Daily Foaming Face Wash

Yet another face wash in our combined little arsenal of face-washes (*tee hee hee*) - The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil & Mint Daily Foaming Facial Wash (gosh, what a mouthful).

(I know you're probably thinking, "She has another cleanser?" But really, it's an old cleanser, before my beloved Himalaya Herbals came into the picture.)

I've read that tea tree oil is supposed to help clear skin of blemishes, so I had gotten this with the hope that it would somehow help me with my les-than-perfect skin.

So, how did it fare? Read on to find out.

This facial wash comes in a big 150ml bottle, complete with pump dispenser and a cap, which I really like. It's hygienic and I only need to pump once to get enough foam to cleanse my entire face. Also, I love the fact that the bottle's transparent. Being able to see exactly how much is left, you'll know when to start running for back up. =P

The product itself looks very watery in the bottle, but when applied it feels just a tad oily (thanks to the tea tree oil, I believe). However, it rinses of very easily, leaving my skin feeling soft and clean, so I don't find it a problem. It also doesn't give my skin any of that stretchy feeling, which is good.

While I can't say it's helped much with the blemishes (I still get zits every now and then), I can tell you that I absolutely love the zing I get after a morning face wash, thanks to the mint. It totally wakes me up! I'm not a morning person so I'll take any help I can get. =)

The boyfriend also seems to like this cleanser very much, as I notice he uses this over the other cleansers I have when he's around.

Price wise, it's in the mid-range at RM45 when I got it a year or so back. I wouldn't know if they've raised the price. So please tell me if you do know, ya?

After all's said and done, I like it. Enough to have repurchased once. But I don't think I'll be buying it again as I have so many other cleansers, and I'm sure there are others I'll be wanting to try out next.

PS: Kahani, you might want to just take a look at this, what with your lemming for all things mint right now. =P

lol... while I love all things mint, I actually avoid putting anything with menthol on my face as I find it to be an irritant. It has the unique ability to both cause flakies AND breakouts. Grr... So mint mint everywhere, but on my face.
