Monday's Beauty Bits

Is tea tree oil really a good treatment for acne? The blogging dermatologist, Dr Benabio doesn't seem to think so. Worth a read.

Silk Naturals has introduced a crazy new fun category called Gumballs. For $0.50 a pop you get to try out crazy new inventions Karen's got up her sleeve, as well as obtain random samples in her "surprise me" section. The samples could range from anything on the site, to something new she's tweaking. I'm definitely getting a surprise me next time around! And OH MY I just saw her latest GWP is a cream blush called LOVERLY. Oh no. Now I have to buyyy...

Updated: The post on Nexcare 3M patches has been updated to include prices for the 36-patch box retailing at RM11.90

Check out the latest Estee Lauder and Chanel makeup collections on ParisB and Tine's blogs. Pretty! Love the wee golden dragonfly!

I've always found tea tree oil good for me. I know you can't wait for the dragonfly powder right? ;)

Do you think Karen did it on purpose? ^_^

Nikki: Thanks for the support babe. =)

Paris: I find tea tree to be middling good on me. I think, derm or no derm, just use whatever works. ;)

Eli: I wish! But if she did she wouldn't make it a ONE week GWP! And she'd have informed the blog. Boo!

I haven't tried it yet, but I've read that tea tree oil, or Melaleuca alternifolia oil, is an effective natural remedy. Tea tree oil is a really lovely product from Australia--it tingles and smells kind of like eucalyptus, and I've used as a treatment for cuts and blisters, because it acts as an antimicrobial. Its also the main ingredient in the Derma Remedies product. I'm going to make an experimental paste of garlic and tea tree oil and let you guys know what happens to the annoying wart on my right heel (the place where I always get blisters from sandals).
