Hot to tote: Daiso's Makeup Remover Pencil

I bought a teenie tiny makeup remover pen from Sephora when I was in Paris, and it loved it. The felt tip pen with remover in it was just so... logical. So right. And so completely unavailable in Malaysia! Augh!

So yes I was waving it in the faces of everyone hoping someone knew where I could find a replacement, or that someone would see the gap in the market and MAKE one.

Then I found this in Daiso (it's in The Curve by the way), and like everything else in Daiso only costs RM5. Huzzah!

I won't say it's as good, for one thing it's essentially vaseline in a stick. Unlike the felt-tip style it can't really clean up stray liner, mascara, and lipstick on its own. You have to rub this in, and then wipe it off with a tissue or your finger. And be sure to set it with powder over or it may carry on dissolving the rest of your eye makeup.

But, on the other hand, this will never dry up and it's available right here. Which counts for ALOT.

This baby has a permanent place in my handbag as another symptom of oily skin and long days is that even the most resistant of liners may start to travel a little. And if I absentmindedly wipe my eyes - poof, panda!

This lets me remove wandering makeup quickly, easily and cleanly with no excess rubbing. Oh, and don't forget it also works with lipsticks - so be sure you have it whenever you bring on the hot-red lips.

gah!! I totally forgot to buy this when I asked Plue to help me get those eyebrow pencil backups! :(

Nikki: It most certainly is! =)

prettybeautiful: there were LOTS left - like two hanging thingies of them left last night at 10 just before the store closed. You can't get much more current than that! I know because my friends wanted to buy it and I found it for them.

hahaha...after your pimping of it, at least now you have an affordable fix that's available (and yes, those are MAJOR plus points!)

Connie: Well, Plue said she couldn't find it anyway. I just find it really odd that PrettyB couldn't find it yesterday when I did.

Bee: *nods happily*

I was contemplating to get this the other day when I was at Daiso...!!!

PrettyB: Keep looking you'll find them.

Eli: Sure Oz doesn't have something similar? Revlon is a line that has a makeup remover pen - just not in M'sia.

Traclyn: Has this writeup tipped your contemplation over into "I want it"?

sometimes i just use tissue rubbed over some solid lipbalm and wipe it over the smudge. works great and i don't need to carry extra stuff.

Lynn: I have backups. =P

Joanne: That is an awesome tip! Thing is, I'm geeky enough to like having a device specifically designed for this purpose...
