Review: Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Serum

My skin was looking a little off a few months ago.

There wasn't anything wrong with it. No breakouts, no rashes whatsoever but it was just as I said, my skin looked off. Kind of like when you are coming down with a cold.

"Hmm," I mused. "Maybe it's because I stopped using serums."

With that in mind, I trotted off to the nearest Watsons to buy the cheapest (and non-dodgy) serum I could find.

Heck if I know what are the 7 anti ageing benefits this serum claims to have -- I hardly ever read or remember the fine print. After a few days of usage, my skin looked brighter and happier. The difference may not be all that much to shout about but there is a difference in skin texture. When I got lazy and stopped using this for a few days, my skin seemed dull and lifeless again.

As a budget serum, this one hits the spot.

Likes and dislikes about this product? Well, it works for me and the lightweight texture makes it sink in quite quickly. My only objections would be the high 'cone content (not as bad as TBS Skin Boost but still kinda noticeable) and the slightly weird smell. I think the scent is supposed to be floral but it seems more plasticky than anything else.

At RM50 for 50ml, the Olay Total Effects Serum won't break the bank. As I only use this at night -- two pumps at a time, one for my face and the other for my neck -- a bottle should be able to last for about 3 months.

Tried this before? Do share!

Haven't tried this (didn't know it existed) but of all the Olay lines, only the Total Effects one seems to not break me out. So I might give it a go! Found me fave serums but having a budget option isn't a bad idea ;)
