Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover

I live in fear that when my stockpiled original  ZA 2-Way refills run out, I will still not have a single powder, blot or foundation, that I can use. EVERYTHING these days seem to contain dimethicone, cyclomethicone or cyclopentahexane (all silicones) and since discovering the benefits of a silicone-free foundation for my skin I'm NEVER budging from my anti-silicone stance again. The one exception is Clinique's DDMG which has dimethicone but bafflingly enough seems to suit my skin.

After reading every ingredients label in Watsons much to the bemusement of the sales assistants, I finally found a powder that was formulated without Silicone. Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover, like most MM products, promises to fulfill all your wishes, mattify and minimise  your pores. Well, for the record when used with a brush it did mattify as well as ZA 2-way, or possibly slightly better, it did give my skin a temporarily smoother look, and it was mostly translucent. BUT after only 4 days in my bag the powder came loose and...

ARGH! And believe me this stuff ain't cheap. It retails around RM65 I believe (will have to check up on that). I opened it and POOF white powder all over my black slacks! DOUBLE AAARRRGGHHH!!!

On the plus side, it didn't break me out and it's also quite translucent. However I'd recommend that if you're not alabaster white you chuck the puff that comes with this and use a brush.

The case is adorable and tiny. Unfortunately though it won't house ZA's 2-Way refills it's too small. But it's a close thing.

For now it lives on my dressing table and I may even refill it when my ZA powder runs out if it's still available. But this time I will use double-sided tape to glue it down so it won't rattle loose and get itself all cracked. Bah humbug.

Anyone got a good pressed powder to recommend? For the record, after prolonged use, MAC Blot broke me out. Le Sigh.

same with you, I would use a brush with it! But so sorry about the crack! I'd go crazy!

i've tried this before.. didn't really like it. the color is too light for me, my face became too 'fair' for my liking.
now i'm using Lancome's Poudre Majeure Excellence which is good, not drying, not caking..

I'd been using this for the 2nd refil already! It sits in my bag always, I carry it everywhere to get the shine off my face.
But it never came loose like yours for me!

Nikki: I'll just use it up as is I guess. Booo!

Wendy: Drying's good for me. Alas...

Shinn: I just got unlucky I guess. =(

I love pressed powders! Am currently using T. LeClerc's pressed powder in Banane. It's pricey, and the only place you can get it is Ken's Apothecary in Empire Shopping Gallery, but it's the best I've used so far.
