I reeeally have a thing for all things peachy, don't I?
Name it peach, and I'm a sucker for it already. And the one I'm loving now is the Korres Zea Mays Powder Blush in Peach #18.
Although, if you ask me, it seems a tad more pinky-coral than peach. Not that it's a problem. I love corals too.
[Put next to Benefit Coralista (right), Coralista appears more peach, while Korres Peach (left) looks pinky-coral.]
And the good news just keeps coming. Texture wise, it's very smooth and applies like a dream. A little buttery to the touch. It has golden shimmer, but applied on, it isn't all that noticeable.
I picked mine up in Greece in 2009. I had used for a little while, but had moved on to other products and so this poor baby ended up a little neglected for a while. Going through my makeup stuff the other day, it caught my attention again, and I'm currently loving it a lot!
It's such a boost for my complexion.
It is rather pigmented (as you can see from the swatches below), so take care to use a light hand and build up the colour as you go. On me, about one swipe is enough for a nice glow. If I want a bit more of a pop of colour, I just add a little more on the apples of my cheeks.
[Korres Peach (top), and Coralista (below). It's quite obvious that Korres Peach is the more pigmented of the two.]
For packaging, mine comes in a nice, sturdy white compact (with a big mirror), and I would have no qualms travelling with this. I've read that it can also come in a brown compact, but I don't think there's any difference, product wise.
On MUA, some have complained of breakouts due to the corn starch, but I've had no such problems. I guess it varies from person to person.
This came with a €15.50 (6g) price tag then, but on the website, it says €23.50 now.
Overall, it really is a beautiful blush, and I have no regrets purchasing. I also have the Natural #15 blush, which I'll review another time. Unfortunately, it's not available here in Malaysia, but our neighbour Singapore has it. So, if you have friends there... it's time to utilise them! *winks*
To sum it all up, I absolutely love this gorgeous blush. Highly recommended!
