Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Smoothing Lotion

As most of you should know by now, I am addicted to chocolates. Actually, more like addicted to choc-scented products. You can look here and here for proof.

And the latest in my choc product collection is this gem of a body lotion - Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Skin Smoothing Lotion. (Why products need names that are a mile long just boggles the mind!)

And, this Palmer's lotion also comes with Alpha/Beta Hydroxy and Shea Butter. Sounds good? It gets even better. Seriously.

Palmer's says: A unique blend of Cocoa Butter, Alpha & Beta Hydroxy Acids, Vit E and Shea Butter that exfoliates dry skin cells and uncovers healthier looking skin. This fast-absorbing lotion helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and evens skin tones. Your skin will feel soft, smooth and healthy with no greasy after-feel.

And they sure walk their talk.

This lotion's light formula is just absolutely delightful. Spread over your skin and it just sinks in without any sticky or icky feeling. I often use it as a hand lotion as well, and I can still hold my books without creating thumbprints all over the glossy cover. (No bending book spines too. I'm OCD like that. *hehe*)

Another little secret I'll let you girls on too, is that I have very, very parched skin, especially on my shins (eeeww). It's been like that since I was a kid, and at times it gets so bad that I have scales (MORE eeeww). That, in (uber) humid Malaysian climate too, mind you!

More often that not, it's because I'm too lazy to bother applying moisturiser after a shower etc. But lately, I've been a good girl, giving my sad-looking shins some much needed attention, and glad to say, it's better now.

I don't have shiny-glowy skin. Not yet anyway, but it's getting there. I hope.

Hydroxy acids (and there's two of 'em in here) are known to be skin exfoliants, and they're also commonly used in chemical peels (albeit in higher concentrations) to erase fine lines and remove surface scars. All that sounds great for me, since my legs need all the help they can get.

As for the scent, is wonderfully chocolatey (duh!) without being OTT. It has a light lingering choc scent that disappears after a while, but smells delicious while it lasts.

And for only RM20-something for 250ml, it won't break the bank either!

Conclusion: It smells great, moisturises my skin, doesn't feel greasy, doesn't break the bank. What's not to love?

PS: And oh, animal lovers will be happy to know that this product isn't tested on animals.

Hi Anne, I got it sometime back in Guardian or Watson, but I haven't seen it in a while. Not sure if they're still carrying this particular line.
