Okay, now on to business. As you would have seen here, Clinique's Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm is a lipstick I acquired about two weeks ago, and today I'd like to tell you more about it.
So far, I'm really reeeally loving it. No kidding.
Just to prove how much I love it, my HG Nivea lipbalms have actually taken a backseat. And just in case you didn't know, I wear my lipbalms all.the.time.
So yes, this is a big deal. In fact, this is HUGE.
To begin with, the design looks really cute. I always get the feeling I'm colouring my lips with crayons whenever I'm applying this one. *tee hee*
Super Strawberry is a shade of cool raspberry. Texture is sheer and it feels moisturising on my lips. And while I'm one to ALWAYS apply lipbalm before my lipsticks, I'll suggest otherwise for this lipstick.
For one, it's harder to bring the colour out if I apply this on top of my lipbalm. Initially, I've always found it to be terribly sheer. One fine morning, though, I decided to apply it directly on without lipbalm, and voila!
(Paired here with Bella Bamba. A little pop of colour, don't you think?)
It is sheer, though, so you're going to have to layer it on if you want more colour. On me, layering it on gives it enough colour to brighten up my complexion quite a bit.
It's moisturising enough, even without lipbalm, but the balmy feeling doesn't last too long. If you're anal, *cough like me cough* you can always apply a little balm over the lipstick.
I also love that you just need to twist the bottom of the lipstick to get more product out, rather than having to sharpen the "crayon". Saves everyone the hassle.
And the best part is, it's only RM50. I agree with Karla, you gotta love Clinique's pricing!
I love it a lot, but it does look a little cool on me and it takes some coordination on days I want to wear it. So now I'm thinking of getting me a warmer everyday colour - Mega Melon, perhaps? Have you tried it?
Verdict? Love, love, love!
