The Body Shop's Smoky Moonstone palette is quite perfect for the holidays.

It's been a long while since I've paid much attention to The Body Shop's cosmetic range. Until Kahani pointed out how pretty their cosmetics collection was for this year's holiday season.

So I looked. And looked again. And fell in love with the Smoky Moonstone palette.

MINE.

If you're into neutrals, this palette might be something you'd really want to take a look at. The palette comprises four shimmery neutral shades which TBS doesn't name, so I'll have a go at trying to describe them - (Clockwise from top left) pale warm gold (swatches almost white), a beige gold, a cool dark brown, and a taupey brown.

I've been particularly fond of the beige gold shade and the taupey brown, which I've been wearing for work. I haven't used it to create a smoky eye, but I seeing how rich the cool dark brown shade is, I'm sure it'll rock a smoky look too.

They feel buttery to touch, swatch easily, and they're rather pigmented too. They apply smoothly, and with a base, they last a whole day on my lids, albeit with my minor creasing. Granted, I do have oily lids.

I'm not too gaga over the plastic packaging of the palette, but I'm glad TBS included two usable mini brushes in the palette. These I didn't toss!

Taken with bounce flash (above) and direct flash (below).

This LE palette costs RM95 (each shade weighs 1.8g), which I feel is rather value for money, considering the quality of the eyeshadows. I've been using this all week, and absolutely loving it.

Have you checked out Smoky Moonstone? Are you wanting it?

I am seriously loving every Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palette that I own and I tend to pick them up more on my makeup gigs as they work on ALL AGES! :D This one is another HIT for sure!

Kahani: Yes, yes.. go pick it up! I'm sure you'll love it.

Nikki: I have a Bobbi Brown palette from a while back (Stonewashed Nudes), and while I like it, I haven't been loving too many of their palettes lately. For the price, I expect a lot more of their shadows. Too many are too hard and not pigmented enough. Do you have similar problems with their shadows? I find myself favouring eyeshadows from Urban Decay, Inglot, MAC, and Dior these days. And of course, this palette from The Body Shop. =)

It's a versatile palette, even for everyday use, not necessary just for the holidays. The cool toned dark brown colour is lovely. :)
