Pretty lips with Maxilip ~

I'm just awfully lazy today, so yes, this is a lazy post. Sorry, but it's Friday.

Yet another lip product, but this time it's lipbalm. And one that I'm liking a lot. Hello Maxilip!

I picked this up on a whim during one of my drugstore romps and I really like it. I know I said I absolutely love this lipbalm, but there are times when you need a balm that's absolutely transparent (to go under that lipstick). And this one works like a charm.

In fact, this reminds me a lot of this Lip Pure lipbalm. Even the packaging is essentially the same. What's different though, is that Mentholatum claims that this is a "revolutionary anti-ageing lip moisturizer".

Ingredients include ceramide, Maxi-Lip and coenzyme Q10, which they say "is specially formulated to hydrate the lips, reduce signs of aging, increase lip volume and improve the definition of lip lines".

[Ceramide on the outside to lock up moisture, and Maxi-Lip on the inside (the inner yellowy bit) with coenzyme Q10 to delay skin-aging. Righto.]

Big claims, and I wouldn't go as far to say it's made my lips younger. But as far as lipbalm is concerned, it's a pretty darned good one. It's moisturising, it's applies easily and it feels awfully balmy and comfortable on my lips. I don't detect any scent.

I keep this on my dresser to apply every morning before I put on my makeup, and my lips are moisturised and happy by the time I get to lipstick.

It's priced at RM15.90 a tube, which is not the cheapest as drugstore lipbalms go, but still okay by me.

Would I repurchase? Maybe. I have too many lipbalms to decide definitively. But I do really like it.

Highly recommended.

ooohh just by reading the title, I originally thought it'll make your lips huge! My bad on the name Maxi-lip! :) glad to know its moisturizing, that's what we all want in lip stuffs!

now that u review it, i forgotten i have it stashed as draft post already.

i'm on the fence with this though, it doesn't gimme lips look younger, neither it's moisturizing enough for me to use at night (prefer something heavier to treat lips), but for day use, it's good enough. hehe.

now i should go post my draft! tee hee!

omgosh! :D i use this too! :D and i love it :) it doesnt really do what it claims(makes look younger or smth like that) but it does give it's appearance :)

plus i like the fact that it doesn't give you that dry skin look on your lips when it gets in contact with liquid or smth :D

i usually use it for day and night and it still lasts(unlike my maybelline botanical which lasted like 1 month only? -___-)

Nikki: Hahaha!!! No, I don't think it gives you MAXI lips. LOL. =P

plue: I use it mostly for day. For night I love something heavier too. My HG is the Lucas' Papaw Ointment.

meipinggg: I haven't used it long enough to know how long a tube lasts. But I've been using it a while now, and there's still heaps! =)
