Looks: Trying to pull off the Fuschia Lip

Well, I decided to practice what I preached, and tried out the summer trend for fuschia lips. I've actually always liked bright pinks, but this particular lip was rather eye-catching even for me. As you can see, I kept the rest of my face neutral and bronzed, with all the emphasis placed on the lip (not that it needs help!). Breakdown of makeup used after the jump.

Foundation: Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation in Butterscotch
Cheeks: Silk Naturals Bronzer in Tahiti Sweetie (Benefit Hoola dupe), with The Body Shop's Sun Lustre Bronzer brushed on the cheek bones to highlight.
Eyes: L'Oreal Minerals Eyeshadow in Nude Crystal, Bourjois Black Eyeliner, and Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra-Black Mascara.
Lips: Lancome Colour Fever in Rock Chic, topped with Lancome Juicy Wear Seal & Shine clear topcoat.

The benefit of the ultra-bright lip is that the average English labourer can see you coming from so far away, the hoots and hollers start when you're way up the street and intensifies as you walk nearer. Talk about self-consciousness! When I walk onto the tube I instantly feel every eyeball in the place focus immediately on my lips before Brit manners take over and everyone looks away. Still, a few compliments (besides the hooting workmen) and my confidence was boosted enough to feel like breaking out the fuschia lip when (if!) the sun comes out again.

What do you girls think? Gonna give this look a try?

It suits you. It brightens up your face esp when you have a rather nude makeup on. I always put on brownish red lipstick on nude makeup and it definitely makes me look fresh.
