Monday's Beauty Bits

Remember syen's scrubby thing from Daiso? Well guess what? Squirt a lil cleanser on it and it scrubs off the tenacious Himalayan Herbals Neem Mask nicely. Rinse off most of the mask first andgo to it!

Speaking of masks, you don't really need to invest in a seperate exfoliating mask. Just dampen your face and spread a thin layer of your regular facial scrub - preferably containing salicylic acid - leave it on for a minute then gently scrub for 30 seconds before rinsing. Of course, if it burns, don't leave it on!

Of late I've been too lazy to use a pencil, liquid or cream liner. Instead, using a tiny and dense brush, I pat a dark eyeshadow directly onto just-applied MAC Paint Pot. It's not as long lasting as a liquid liner but it isn't bad! Stands up to oil really well and if it smudges, it's easy to clean up.

The handcream in my bag at present is the trial sized version of Clean & Clear Clear Fairness. It's non greasy, smells lemony and has spf15. Not bad huh? You can still pick up the tiny sizes for about RM3 so it's also wonderfully cheap. I'm curious, do you tote a cream around? What is it?

Incidentally, I've started toting creams around in my bag. Its The Face Shop lemon. Whether I use it is another story :P

Sadly for me and my super dry eye lids the dark e/s smushed into the lashline only works if I've used pencil to define it in the previous step...otherwise combine this with the horrible humidity here and I have bare lids by noon...egads!

I carry around sample tubes of facial moisturiser as hand cream too!!! But I'm currently roadtesting the Love+Toast handcreams and that's what's in my bag right now :)

Happy Monday!

PB: Isn't the lemon kinda big and bulky? It sits on my desk at work. I refill it with Garnier's Whitening lotion. =)

Gypsy: I SO want to try Love + Toast grapefruit cream. So much...

Connie: I saw it again at Daiso 1U - have you looked there? Is yours soft enough? The ones Syen and I got are super soft.

I've tried the eyeshadow on paint pot thing. The eyeshadow's from Bobbi Brown's nude palette - maybe I should wet with water (as the makeup artist recommended) first. The powder tends to leave a ring so i usually blend with my finger or a fine soft brush a little.

I carry Nivea hand cream or old sunscreen lotion as hand moisturiser. There are faint sun spots on my hands already.

Hey Kahani, the Love+Toast handcream is really very, very good. I got the gin blossom fragrance - haven't had rough hands since :)
I got it through Soap 'n Sorbet and definitely recommend the store - prompt service and they're generous with samples.

Mine's the L'occitane cherry blossom handcream. You know me and cherry blossoms. We're like this *wind index and middle finger together* :P
