Kahani's Beauty Heroes!

So Syen has done her part in the tagging, now 'tis my turn.

Disclaimer: Unless I say it's a staple, it's subject to change as I'm constantly testing and experimenting!

SKINCARE

What facial cleanser do you use?
As a fan of the double-cleanse system, I'm currently using L'Oreal De-Maq Expert Elixir Concentrate Ultra Makeup Remover followed either by Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub or J&J's Head to Toe Body Wash.

What toner do you use?
Like Syen, I use Clinique's Clarifying Lotion in #3. It's a HG for me!

What moisturizer do you use?
Day: None. I just use The Body Shop's Vitamin C serum gel (review pending). And sometimes if I know i'm going to be running around in the sun alot, I use TBS's Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15. Usually though I rely on my mineral makeup as I really do pile it on!
Night: Eucerin Creme-Gel for Impure Skin ] is a staple for me. I'm not entirely sure about the name - the tube I have is in German! I alternate with Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control moisturising treatment which I'm roadtesting.

How many times a day do you wash your face?
Twice. Unless I shower mid-afternoon. Then it would be three times.

Do you use eye makeup remover? If so, what kind?
Generally I rely on L'Oreal's Ultra Makeup Remover but for neatening up my eyemakeup, or for especially stubborn liner, I go over with an eye makeup remover. It used to be Boot's Cucumber Eye Makeup Removing Gel, but now I'm in Malaysia I'll either get Simple or TBS's Camomile Eye Makep Remover.

Is your skin oily, dry, or combination skin?
Oily, oily and more oily.

What is the best part about your skin?
Uhh. I have always loathed my problematic skin. So I can't think of one.

What are your skin problems?
Oil, blemishes, acne scars, undereye shadows, uneven skintone, and oh did I mention Oily?

MAKEUP

What foundation do you use?
Currently Silk Naturals Mineral foundation in Heavy Coverage. But this is subject to change at any moment without notice. Generally though I stick with Mineral foundations.

What powder do you use?
At the moment, Sephora's Matifying Compact Powder (review pending), GloMinerals gloMatte finishing powder, L'Oreal True Match compact powder, and Silk Naturals Perfecting Powder in Tempt Tryst. I change powders according to my mood.

What eyebrow pencil do you use?
Nope, don't use them. Have eyebrows so bushy I need to hack them back.

What eyeliner do you use?
Am currently loving Prestige's Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Black and Smokey Green.

What is your favorite eyeshadow?
Oh no this is hard! Lise Watier's Eyeshadow Quartet in Mer is definite. Silk Naturals eyeshadows in Cashmere, Nudge Nudge and Bittersweet.

What mascara do you use?
Max Factor Masterpiece Max in Black (review pending), and when I want waterproofness I use L'Oreal's Double Extension Beauty Tubes.

What are your favorite lipbalms/glosses/sticks?
Favourite lipbalm: Burts Bees Original & Bonne Belle in Pink Lemonade (when I can get it)
Favourite gloss: SN Wand Glosses, Clinique Longlast SPF 15, Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker
Favourite lipstick: SN Kiss Bliss in Grace, SN Kisser Slickers in Damsel, Seedy, and Berry Nice (actually a stick gloss but it's a stick!)

HAIRCARE

Do you color your hair?
Not at all.

What is your stylists name?
Haven't cut my hair in over a year. Still haven't found a stylist. =P

What salon do you go to?
Check above!

What is your natural hair color?
Black as Night

What is your hair color now?
Black as Sin

Do you have straight or curly hair?
Absolutely straight. I get asked where I have it straightened because it looks "so natural".

Do you use a curling iron?
Nope.

A straightener?
Nada.

What kind?
*whistles*

Do you use a blow dryer?
Zip.

Do you use gel and if so, what kind?
Negative.

Do you use mousse, and if so, what kind?
Nil.

What shampoo do you use?
John Freida's Luxurious Volume Shampoo

What conditioner do you use?
John Freida's Luxurious Volume Conditioner

Do you use leave in conditioner?
Zilch. Sorry my hair section's so utterly boring. I leave it alone to the point that I seem hippy.

SCENTS
What deodorant do you use?
Dove Invisible Dry Anti-White Marks Deodorant Stick. I actually prefer another one by Rexona but couldn't find it in the UK.

What body wash do you use?
The Body Shop's Pink Grapefruit Body Wash is the one I most frequently go back to. I also love Soap & Glory's Clean on Me.

Do you use a loofah, washcloth or soap to wash?
I use a Bath Lily / Puff / Pouffe. Whatever you choose to call it.

What perfumes do you use or like? Name five.
The Body Shop's Apple Blossom, Cranberry & RougeBerry, Soap & Glory's Flirtigo, Philosophy's Amazing Grace.

Do you always have to smell good?
Oh definitely. But that doesn't mean I always use a fragrance either.

Em, I had a look here because the changing weather is driving my laundry efforts and my skin absolutely batty. It used to be combination normal. Now it is BP's new oil rig! Which is a shame as as I loved Syen's reviews - now I have to find another skin match. Aiya.

I noticed that you don't use facial moisturiser. Does that have an impact on your skin though, and wouldn't that mean that your skin gets oilier because it is trying to moisturise itself? (this is something i read a couple of times but i don't know whether it is skincare fact or myth)

I do use a facial moisturiser I just hadn't found the HG one at the time!

Look up my review on ~H2O+ Face Oasis. I'm also finding Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel is working out quite well for daily use.
